I did the discharge-recharge routine several times, but the first battery I received never went above 73 percent. After about 3 weeks, it was down to 62 percent max. Within 30 days, I initiated an online return and replacement with no hassle whatsoever. The second battery works great!Oh, and my HP laptop opened easier after I found the screws hidden under the two bumper strips on the bottom.

installed quickly, it fit my laptop, I chose from the matching list, the charge lasts about 3-4 hours, I've been using it for a couple of weeks now, nothing has changed, but don't let the laptop turn off completely, when you put it on charge and turn on the laptop, it goes away again battery recognition process since it is not original

My laptop overheated months ago and I kept getting an error message that my battery was pretty much roasted and certain things weren’t running properly. A battery test said it needed to be replaced and it wouldn’t recharge when plugged in. After watching a YouTube video it seemed easy enough so I ordered this product. I have never worked on a computer before but it was super easy and only took a few minutes.It comes with two sizes of magnetized micro-screwdrivers and a guitar pick shaped wedge to get the back off the laptop. After removing 6 screws off the back of my laptop, I used the wedge to gently pop it off. Four more screws later, I removed the old battery and popped this one into place. After getting everything back together, I plugged in my laptop and had 100% battery life a short time later. Everything now works as it should and the error message is gone.Well worth the $30 to do it myself rather than pay someone 3x - 5x more. First photo shows the battery I removed - notice the swelling (this is bad). The second shows the new battery installed.So far so good, I will update my review if I have any issues.

HP support Assistant popped up with a failure message saying that the battery was faulty and needed to be replaced after numerous calibration attempts. Battery also wouldnt charge beyond 79% at any given time. Wasted moneyUpdate:After posting my initial review the seller reached out and offered to replace the battery. I followed the calibration instructions that came with the new battery and everything went well. The battery is calibrated and working perfectly
